Cosmology and astrophysics with the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect

With arcminute resolution multifrequency CMB maps, combined with upcoming data from galaxy surveys, observables based on the Sunyaev Zeldovich (SZ) effect constitute a promising avenue for reshaping our understanding of galaxy formation and constraining cosmological models. In this talk we will review the thermal and kinetic SZ effects, and their applications in cosmology and astrophysics.
