Professor Michel Lambert has left his mark on generations of students at Claude Bernard University, paving the way for a vocation in subatomic physics.
He was also a very important figure in the laboratory, notably with the creation in 1975 of the High Experimental Energies group at the Institut de Physique Nucléaire de Lyon.
Many of us who were his students or collaborators at that time are no longer active.
For this reason, a more substantial tribute will be added to these lines in September, taking into account their memory of an era quite different from the one we know today.
